1. Fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped - 1 ½ pounds
2. Butter, melted - 2 tablespoons
3. All-purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
4. Grated onion - 2 tablespoons
5. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
6. Salt - 1 teaspoon
7. Sour cream - 2 cups
8. Coarsely shredded Swiss cheese - 8 ounces
9. Corn flakes, crushed - 2 cups
10. Butter, melted - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Swiss Cheese Green Bean Casserole

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add green beans, cover, and steam until slightly tender, about 5 minutes.

Stir 2 tablespoons butter, flour, onion, sugar, and salt together in a saucepan over medium heat; gradually stir in sour cream. Cook and stir mixture until hot, thickened, and smooth, about 10 minutes. Add steamed green beans to the cream mixture. Pour green bean-cream mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish; sprinkle with Swiss cheese.

Mix corn flakes and 2 tablespoons butter in a bowl until well coated; sprinkle over Swiss cheese layer.
