Ingredients for - Tortilla Soup I

1. Chicken broth - 9 cups
2. Roasted garlic - 6 cloves
3. Chopped tomatoes - ½ cup
4. Yellow onion, chopped - ½
5. Fresh jalapeno peppers, sliced into rings - 2
6. Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
7. Yellow onion, sliced - ½
8. Shredded, cooked chicken meat - 2 cups
9. Lime, juiced - 1
10. Corn tortillas, cut into strips and toasted for garnish - 6 (6 inch)

How to cook deliciously - Tortilla Soup I

1. Stage

In heavy pot, bring the broth to a boil. Add garlic, tomatoes, chopped onion, jalapeno, and oregano to the stocks. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

2. Stage

Broil the sliced onions until soft and a little brown. Add broiled onions, chicken, lime juice to soup, and simmer till chicken is heated.

3. Stage

Place toasted tortilla strips in each bowl and pour soup over strips.
