1. Dry French bread, broken into pieces ½ loaf

3. Shredded Swiss cheese 8 ounces
4. Shredded Monterey Jack cheese 4 ounces
5. Ham slice, coarsely chopped 1 (1/4 inch thick)
6. Milk 1 ¾ cups
7. Eggs 9
8. Green onions, minced 4
9. Sherry ¼ cup
10. Dijon mustard 1 ½ tablespoons
11. Ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon
12. Cayenne pepper ⅛ teaspoon
13. Sour cream ¾ cup
14. Grated Parmesan cheese ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Wine and Cheese Strata

1 . Stage

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2 . Stage

Arrange bread pieces in the prepared baking dish; drizzle with melted butter. Top with Swiss cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and ham.

Whisk milk, eggs, green onions, sherry, mustard, black pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl until foamy; pour over bread mixture. Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 24 hours.

Remove dish from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
