1. Saltine crackers, finely crushed - 16
2. Water - 2 tablespoons
3. Flaked cooked crabmeat - 1 pound
4. Egg, beaten - 1 large
5. Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
6. Prepared mustard - 1 tablespoon
7. Seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®) (Optional) - 1 tablespoon
8. Worcestershire sauce - 1 ½ teaspoons
9. Salt - ⅛ teaspoon
10. Black pepper - ⅛ teaspoon
11. Vegetable oil for frying - ½ cup

1. Stage

Stir together crushed crackers and water in a large bowl. Let stand until softened, about 1 minute. Fold in crabmeat, egg, mayonnaise, and mustard. Add seafood seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir gently until evenly mixed. Form crab mixture into 3/4-inch-thick patties and place on a tray.
