1. Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Yellow onions, chopped - 2
3. Sweet onion, chopped - 1
4. Garlic, peeled and minced - 1 head
5. Yellow bell pepper, chopped - 1
6. Orange bell pepper, chopped - 1
7. Cubed beef stew meat - 2 pounds
8. Italian sausage meat - 2 pounds
9. Applewood smoked bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces - 4 slices
10. Tomato sauce - 2 (28 ounce) cans
11. Tomato paste - 2 (6 ounce) cans
12. Black beans, rinsed and drained - 2 (14 ounce) cans
13. Kidney beans, rinsed and drained - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
14. Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped - 1 (7 ounce) can
15. Beef broth - 2 cups
16. Dark beer - 1 (12 fluid ounce) bottle
17. Chili powder, or to taste - ¼ teaspoon
18. Crumbled dried oregano - ¼ cup
19. Fresh-ground black pepper - 1 tablespoon
20. Salt, or amount to taste - 2 teaspoons
21. Dark chocolate candy bar - 2 ½ ounces

How to cook deliciously - Big Game Day Chili

1. Stage

Heat the oil in a large deep pot over medium-high heat, and stir in the onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Cook and stir until the onions are transparent, about 5 minutes. Add the beef stew meat, sausage, and bacon. Cook until meats are evenly browned. Drain the fat.

2. Stage

Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, black beans, kidney beans, chipotle peppers with sauce, beef broth, beer, chili powder, oregano, pepper, salt, and chocolate. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 1 hour; 2 hours is preferred.
