Ingredients for - Chocolate Cherry Drops

1. Butter, softened - ⅝ cup
2. White sugar - 1 cup
3. Egg - 1
4. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
5. All-purpose flour - 1 ¼ cups
6. Unsweetened cocoa powder - 6 tablespoons
7. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
8. Salt - ½ teaspoon
9. Maraschino cherries, drained and chopped - 1 cup
10. Chopped walnuts - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Chocolate Cherry Drops

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Blend in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, mix in the chopped cherries and walnuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
