3. Condensed cream of mushroom soup - 1 (10.75 ounce) can
4. Water chestnuts, drained and chopped - 1 (8 ounce) can
5. Milk - ¾ cup
6. Ground black pepper to taste - ¾ cup
7. French-fried onions - 1 ⅓ cups

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
