1. Beef short ribs, cut flanken-style 2 pounds
2. White sugar 2 tablespoons
3. Steak seasoning 2 tablespoons
4. Soy sauce ⅓ cup
5. White vinegar 2 tablespoons
6. Maple syrup 2 tablespoons
7. Cayenne pepper, or to taste 1 teaspoon
8. Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
9. Ground ginger ½ teaspoon
10. Red pepper flakes ½ teaspoon

1 . Stage

Season short ribs with sugar and steak seasoning; rub over both sides.

2 . Stage

Whisk soy sauce, vinegar, maple syrup, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes together in a small bowl to make marinade.
