Ingredients for - Ham and Rice

1. 1 teaspoon olive oil -
2. 1 medium onion, chopped -
3. 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms -
4. 1 cup cubed fully cooked ham -
5. 1/8 teaspoon pepper -
6. 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth -
7. 1/4 cup water -
8. 3/4 cup uncooked instant rice -
9. 2 green onions, sliced -
10. 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese -

How to cook deliciously - Ham and Rice

1. Stage

In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms and saute until tender.

2. Stage

Stir in the ham, pepper, chicken broth and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then stir in the instant rice. Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, until the rice is tender, about five minutes.

3. Stage

Fluff the rice with a fork. Top it with green onions and shredded Parmesan cheese.
