1. Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
2. Lean ground beef - 1 pound
3. Onions, chopped - 2 medium
4. Cabbage, chopped - 1 medium head
5. Carrots, chopped - 4 medium
6. Celery, chopped - 4 stalks
7. Water - 8 cups
8. Diced tomatoes - 2 (14 ounce) cans
9. Tomato paste - 1 (6 ounce) can
10. Beef bouillon - 4 cubes
11. Vegetable soup mix - 1 (2.4 ounce) package
12. Brown sugar - 2 teaspoons
13. Worcestershire sauce - 2 teaspoons
14. Italian seasoning, or more to taste - 2 teaspoons
15. Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
16. Red wine - 1 splash
17. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 splash

How to cook deliciously - Hamburger Soup with Cabbage

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onions in the hot skillet until beef is browned and crumbly and onions are translucent, 5 to 7 minutes.

2. Stage

Add cabbage, carrots, and celery. Cover and cook, stirring often, until tender, about 10 minutes. Add water, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, bouillon, soup mix, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, red wine, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.

3. Stage

Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until flavors are mixed and cabbage is tender, about 1 hour.
