1. Margarine, softened 1 cup
2. Packed brown sugar ½ cup
3. Yellow cake mix 1 (15.25 ounce) package
4. Water ¼ cup
5. Egg 1
6. Quick-cooking oatmeal 2 cups
7. Chopped pecans 1 ¼ cups
8. Bourbon (such as Maker's Mark®) 3 tablespoons

1 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Cream margarine and brown sugar together in a bowl using an electric mixer. Add 1/2 of the cake mix, water, and egg; blend thoroughly. Stir in remaining cake mix, oats, pecans, and bourbon.

Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
