Ingredients for - Salad with pickled herring and radish
How to cook deliciously - Salad with pickled herring and radish
1. Stage
For the salad I will use young potatoes right in the skin, so I washed them with a brush and put them to boil. Young potatoes boil very quickly. Let's make the dressing. In the olive oil we put Dijon mustard in grains. We squeeze 1 tbsp juice from lemons and pour it into the oil. You can replace the olive oil with sunflower oil, dijon mustard with regular mustard, but my version tastes better to me.
2. Stage
Salt and pepper the ingredients for the dressing to taste and combine thoroughly.
3. Stage
Slice the radishes thinly. I have a fairly large radish and I cut it into half-circles. Slice the bell peppers thinly. If you want it spicier, slice another chili pepper to taste. Put the radishes and peppers in the bowl, pour half of the dressing. Stir.
4. Stage
The potatoes are boiled. I will not peel them, but cut them right with the skin. I like young potatoes that way. If you are embarrassed by this, then peel them. Cut the potatoes into fairly large slices. Put in another bowl and add the rest of the dressing, stir.
5. Stage
Pickled herring can be bought ready-made, or you can cut a filet of salted herring into pieces, pour 7% vinegar or balsamic, hold in it for a while and take it out. You can add onions to the vinegar. Chop the greens at random. There is no much greenery, put it according to your taste.
6. Stage
I will lay out the salad in layers. I took a large dish and put the potatoes in the beginning. The second layer - pickled herring, a little sprinkled with herbs.
7. Stage
The next layer is radish with bell peppers (and chili peppers). Sprinkle greens on top of the salad.
8. Stage
Serve.
9. Stage
If desired, you can stir the salad before placing it in serving plates.
