1. Chicken bouillon - 2 cubes
2. Boiling water - 1 cup
3. Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
4. White onion, diced - 1 large
5. Jalapeno peppers, diced - 2
6. Fire-roasted diced green chiles - 1 (4 ounce) can
7. Salt - 1 teaspoon
8. Dried cilantro - 1 teaspoon
9. Mexican-style seasoning blend - 1 teaspoon
10. Ground cumin - ½ teaspoon
11. Dried basil - ½ teaspoon
12. Dried oregano - ½ teaspoon
13. Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
14. Garlic and herb seasoning blend - ½ teaspoon
15. Chile powder - ¼ teaspoon
16. Smoked paprika - ¼ teaspoon
17. Dry mustard powder - ¼ teaspoon
18. Ground black pepper - ¼ teaspoon
19. Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - 2 ¼ pounds
20. Limes, zested and juiced - 2
21. Orange, zested and juiced - 1
22. Garlic - 4 cloves

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Chicken Carnitas

1. Stage

Dissolve chicken bouillon in boiling water.

2. Stage

Heat oil in a saute pan over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until translucent and browned, about 5 minutes. Add jalapenos and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add green chiles; cook for 3 minutes more.

Mix salt, cilantro, Mexican seasoning, cumin, basil, oregano, garlic powder, seasoning blend, chile powder, paprika, mustard powder, and black pepper together in a bowl.

Trim chicken as needed. Coat all sides with the seasoning blend.

Place onion mixture in a slow cooker. Add chicken broth, juice and zest from the limes and orange, and garlic cloves. Place chicken on top. Cover and cook on Low until chicken is no longer pink inside and very tender, 4 to 6 hours.
