1. Butter, melted - ¼ cup
2. Sweet onion (such as Vidalia®), cut into thin slivers - 1 large
3. Red onion, cut into thin slivers - 1 small
4. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
5. Beef stock - 4 cups
6. Brandy - 3 tablespoons
7. Soy sauce - 2 teaspoons
8. Worcestershire sauce - 2 teaspoons
9. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 2 teaspoons
10. Italian-style seasoned croutons - 2 cups
11. Provolone cheese - 3 slices

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Onion Soup

1. Stage

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir sweet onion and red onion in melted butter until softened, about 10 minutes. Cook and stir garlic into onion mixture until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a slow cooker.

Pour beef stock, brandy, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce into slow cooker. Season with salt and black pepper.

Cook soup on High for 4 to 5 hours.

Preheat the oven's broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
