1. Whole chicken - 1 (2 to 3 pound)
2. Water, or as needed to cover - 10 cups
3. Celery with leaves, chopped - 3 stalks
4. Baby carrots - 1 pound
5. Onions, chopped - 2
6. Low-sodium chicken broth - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
7. Beef bouillon, crumbled - 2 cubes
8. Chicken noodle soup mix - 1 packet
9. Black peppercorns - 5
10. Bay leaves - 2
11. Dried thyme - 1 pinch
12. Poultry seasoning - 1 pinch
13. Dried basil - 1 pinch
14. Dried parsley - 1 pinch
15. Farfalle (bow tie) pasta - 1 (8 ounce) package

How to cook deliciously - The Best Chicken Soup Ever

1. Stage

Place chicken into a large pot; cover with water. Add celery leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until chicken is cooked through, 30 to 40 minutes. Remove chicken from the pot and place in a bowl until cool enough to handle.

Meanwhile, strain cooking liquid, discard celery leaves, and return cooking liquid to the pot. Place celery, carrots, onion, chicken broth, bouillon, and soup mix into the pot and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Season with peppercorns, bay leaves, thyme, poultry seasoning, basil, and parsley.

Bone chicken; cut meat into bite-sized pieces. Add meat to the pot. Simmer until vegetables are tender and flavors are well blended, about 90 minutes.
