Ingredients for - Traditional Eggnog

1. Eggs - 6
2. White sugar - 1 cup
3. Vanilla extract - ½ teaspoon
4. Ground nutmeg, divided - ½ teaspoon
5. Whipping cream - 2 cups
6. Milk - 2 cups
7. Brandy, chilled - ¾ cup
8. Spiced rum (such as Captain Morgan's®) - ⅓ cup

How to cook deliciously - Traditional Eggnog

1. Stage

Beat eggs with an electric mixer on medium speed until very frothy, 2 to 3 minutes.

2. Stage

Gradually beat in sugar, vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Stir in cream, milk, brandy, and rum.

3. Stage

Cover and chill before serving. Sprinkle individual servings with remaining nutmeg.
