1. White cake mix - 1 (15.25-ounce) package
2. Fruit flavored Jell-O mix - 1 (3-ounce) package
3. Boiling water - 1 cup
4. Cherry pie filling - 1 (21-ounce) can
5. Frozen whipped topping, thawed - 1 (16-ounce) container

How to cook deliciously - Cherry Poke Cake

1. Stage

Prepare and bake cake mix according to package directions for one 9x13-inch cake. Remove cake from oven. Poke holes at once down through cake with a fork. Holes should be at 1-inch intervals.

2. Stage

While the cake cools, combine gelatin with boiling water. Pour gelatin mixture over the cake. Top with cherry pie filling, then cover with whipped topping. Refrigerate cake for 1 hour before serving.
