Ingredients for - Chili II

1. Olive oil 2 tablespoons
2. Ground beef 2 pounds
3. Onion, minced 1 small
4. Garlic, minced 6 cloves
5. Beef stock 1 ½ cups
6. Red wine ½ cup
7. Balsamic Vinegar 2 tablespoons
8. Stewed tomatoes, lightly drained 1 (28 ounce) can
9. Sun-dried tomatoes, softened and chopped 7
10. Tomato paste 2 tablespoons
11. Black beans, drained 1 (15 ounce) can
12. Cayenne pepper ¼ teaspoon
13. Chili powder 1 tablespoon
14. Salt 2 teaspoons
15. Ground black pepper to taste 2 teaspoons
16. Dried oregano 1 pinch
17. Dried sage 1 pinch
18. White sugar 1 pinch
19. Bay leaf 1

How to cook deliciously - Chili II

1 . Stage

In a large Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain most of the fat from the ground beef.

2 . Stage

Push the ground beef to the sides of the pan and saute the onion and garlic in the middle until softened.

3 . Stage

Pour in beef stock, red wine, and balsamic vinegar. Stir in tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste and black beans. Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle in the cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, sage and sugar, then add the bay leaf. Mix thoroughly.

4 . Stage

Cover and simmer on lowest heat for 45 to 90 minutes.
