Ingredients for - Chili II

1. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Ground beef - 2 pounds
3. Onion, minced - 1 small
4. Garlic, minced - 6 cloves
5. Beef stock - 1 ½ cups
6. Red wine - ½ cup
7. Balsamic Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
8. Stewed tomatoes, lightly drained - 1 (28 ounce) can
9. Sun-dried tomatoes, softened and chopped - 7
10. Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons
11. Black beans, drained - 1 (15 ounce) can
12. Cayenne pepper - ¼ teaspoon
13. Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
14. Salt - 2 teaspoons
15. Ground black pepper to taste - 2 teaspoons
16. Dried oregano - 1 pinch
17. Dried sage - 1 pinch
18. White sugar - 1 pinch
19. Bay leaf - 1

How to cook deliciously - Chili II

1. Stage

In a large Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain most of the fat from the ground beef.

2. Stage

Push the ground beef to the sides of the pan and saute the onion and garlic in the middle until softened.

3. Stage

Pour in beef stock, red wine, and balsamic vinegar. Stir in tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, tomato paste and black beans. Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle in the cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, sage and sugar, then add the bay leaf. Mix thoroughly.

4. Stage

Cover and simmer on lowest heat for 45 to 90 minutes.
