Ingredients for - Grass-Fed Beef Chili

1. Extra-virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
2. Grass-fed ground beef - 1 pound
3. Green bell peppers - stemmed, seeded, and finely chopped - 2 large
4. Yellow onion, finely chopped - 1 large
5. Chili powder - 3 tablespoons
6. Garlic, finely chopped - 2 cloves
7. Paprika - 1 tablespoon
8. Ground cumin - 2 teaspoons
9. Dried oregano - 2 teaspoons
10. Dried thyme - 2 teaspoons
11. Ground mustard - 1 teaspoon
12. Chipotle chile powder - ½ teaspoon
13. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
14. Garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained - 1 (15 ounce) can
15. Filtered water - 4 cups
16. Sea salt - 2 teaspoons
17. Loosely packed cilantro leaves, roughly chopped - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Grass-Fed Beef Chili

1. Stage

Heat olive oil in a 6-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute. Add beef and allow to sear and brown until mostly cooked, about 3 minutes. Stir in bell peppers and onion. Cook until vegetables are soft, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in chili powder, garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, thyme, mustard powder, and chipotle powder. Pour in tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and water and bring to a simmer.

2. Stage

Cover the pot and reduce heat to medium. Cook slowly until chili has reduced and thickened, about 1 hour. Season with sea salt and stir in cilantro.
