Ingredients for - Lazy Man's Sushi Salad

1. Water 2 cups
2. Sushi rice, rinsed 1 cup
3. Seasoned rice vinegar ¼ cup
4. White sugar 1 tablespoon
5. Salt 1 teaspoon
6. Carrot, peeled and thinly sliced into 1-inch strips 1 medium
7. Cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced into 1-inch strips ½
8. Imitation crab sticks, chopped, or more to taste 6 pieces
9. Pickled ginger (Optional) ¼ cup
10. Water 2 tablespoons
11. Wasabi sauce 2 tablespoons
12. Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon
13. Sheets nori, torn into nickel-sized pieces 2
14. Ripe avocado, cut into small pieces ½
15. Sesame seeds, or as needed (Optional) 1 tablespoon

How to cook deliciously - Lazy Man's Sushi Salad

1 . Stage

Bring water and rice to a boil in a saucepan, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and water has been absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes.

2 . Stage

Combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to a slight boil in a saucepan, about 5 minutes. Stir until dissolved and let cool 2 minutes. Pour mixture over cooked rice. Transfer to a serving bowl.

3 . Stage

Combine carrot, cucumber, crab sticks, ginger, water, wasabi, and oil in a bowl.

4 . Stage

Combine wet crab mixture with cooked rice in the serving bowl. Add avocado and nori just before serving. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
