3. White cake mix - 1 (15.25 ounce) package
4. Water - ⅔ cup
5. Fresh lemon juice - ⅓ cup
6. Vegetable oil - ¼ cup
7. Eggs - 3 large
8. Lemon zest, or more to taste - 2 teaspoons

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line two 12-cup cupcake tins with paper liners.
