1. 1 package white cake mix (regular size) -

3. 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce -
4. 1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, undrained -
5. 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed -
6. 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained -
7. 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix -

How to cook deliciously - Mandarin Orange Cake

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, applesauce and undrained mandarin oranges. Beat the mixture on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for two minutes.

Pour the batter into two greased and floured 9-inch round baking pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

In a medium bowl, combine the thawed whipped topping, undrained crushed pineapple and vanilla pudding mix. Beat until well combined and smooth.

4. Stage

Place the first cake layer on a serving plate and spread a portion of the frosting over the top. Add the second cake layer, then cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining frosting. For the best results, chill the cake for at least an hour before serving.
