1. Garlic - 1 clove
2. Italian bread - 1 (1 pound) loaf
3. Chopped tomatoes - 1 cup
4. Cucumber - peeled, seeded and chopped - 1 cup
5. Chopped red onion - 1 cup
6. Garlic, minced - 1 clove
7. Chopped fresh basil - 2 cups
8. Chopped fresh thyme - ⅛ cup
9. Olive oil - ¼ cup
10. Balsamic Vinegar - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

1. Stage

Rub a peeled clove of garlic around a wooden salad bowl.

2. Stage

Pull apart or chop the bread into bite-size pieces.

In the prepared salad bowl, combine the bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, garlic, basil and thyme. Add enough olive oil and vinegar to lightly coat, toss and serve.
