Ingredients for - Pfeffernusse

1. All-purpose flour 4 cups
2. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
3. Baking soda ½ teaspoon
4. Ground white pepper 1 teaspoon
5. Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
6. Ground cardamom ½ teaspoon
7. Ground ginger ½ teaspoon
8. Salt ¾ teaspoon
9. Butter, softened ¾ cup
10. Packed brown sugar 1 ¼ cups
11. Eggs 2
12. Finely chopped almonds (Optional) ¾ cup

How to cook deliciously - Pfeffernusse

1 . Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2 . Stage

Combine dry ingredients and set aside.

3 . Stage

In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4 . Stage

Stir in dry ingredients 1/2 cup at a time. Add almonds, if desired.

5 . Stage

Roll into one inch balls and arrange 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 11 to 14 minutes.

6 . Stage

Cool and store in airtight containers for 3 days to mellow flavors.
