1. Romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces - 2 heads
2. Mandarin oranges, drained - 3 (15 ounce) cans
3. Green onions, chopped - 1 bunch
4. Slivered almonds - 5 ounces
5. White sugar - ¾ cup
6. Apple cider vinegar - ½ cup
7. Salt - 1 tablespoon
8. Dry mustard - 1 teaspoon
9. Vegetable oil - 1 cup
10. Poppy seeds - 1 ½ tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Poppy Seed Salad

1. Stage

Mix lettuce, oranges, green onions, and almonds in a large mixing bowl.

2. Stage

Blend sugar, vinegar, salt, and mustard in a blender. Stream oil into the dressing while blending. Continue to blend until the dressing emulsifies. Add poppy seeds and blend briefly to mix. Drizzle dressing over the salad and toss to coat.
