1. Penne or other pasta of your choice - 1 pound
2. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
3. Ground beef - 1 pound
4. Pineapple chunks, drained, liquid reserved - 1 (15 ounce) can
5. Leek, cleaned and thinly sliced - 1 medium
6. Mild curry powder - 3 tablespoons
7. Instant vegetable bouillon granules - 1 tablespoon
8. Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste - 1 tablespoon
9. Ketchup - ½ cup
10. Tomato paste - 4 tablespoons
11. Heavy cream - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Quick Curry Pasta with Ground Beef and Pineapple

1. Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet. Add ground beef and cook, stirring, until browned, about 5 minutes. Add drained pineapple chunks and leek and cook over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. Pour in about 1/2 of the pineapple juice. Season with curry powder, bouillon, salt, and pepper.

Stir in ketchup and tomato paste until well combined. Cover and simmer over low heat, 5 to 8 minutes. If sauce seems dry, add more pineapple juice.
