Ingredients for - Sandwiches with walnut paste and adjika
How to cook deliciously - Sandwiches with walnut paste and adjika
1. Stage
Grate the cheese on a fine grater. I used an assortment of cheeses: Cream, Maasdam and Cheddar. You can choose other cheeses, as long as they are hard. From the total amount leave a piece of 30 grams for decoration of the dish.
2. Stage
Peel the apple and grate on a "coarse flake". Mix with the cheese.
3. Stage
In a separate bowl mix mayonnaise, Caucasian adjika (hot pepper, garlic, coriander). Add the peanut paste. I used to make the filling for these sandwiches without having that paste. I had to grind the nuts with a rolling pin or in a mortar. If you are going to use just nuts instead of paste, increase the amount of mayonnaise. Prepare a sauce with these ingredients, mix everything well.
4. Stage
You can use loaves or loaves of bread as a base. Trim the crusts and tops to make equal bricks. The cut bread can be used to make homemade breadcrumbs.
5. Stage
Cut each brick into slices 1.5 - 2 cm thick. I got 6 layers.
6. Stage
Divide the filling into six pieces. Grease three layers, which will be the bottom layers. Here you can put a little more stuffing. On top, cover the remaining layers of bread, alternating white and black bread. Press down, and smear the top layers with stuffing. Leave in this form for half an hour.
7. Stage
Then wrap in clingfilm, top with a board and a small weight. Put in the fridge for 6 - 7 hours, or better overnight.
8. Stage
Before serving, cut into portions - sandwiches, sprinkle with grated cheese (the one that was left), sprinkle chopped herbs on top.
9. Stage
Place on a plate to serve. Decorate to your liking.
