How to cook deliciously - Scottish oatmeal soup
1. Stage
The onion is cut into small cubes, grate carrots on a coarse grater.

Shred the cabbage not too coarsely.

In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the sunflower oil, add the onion and sugar. Fry until the onions are translucent, then add the carrots and stir. Close the lid and stew until the vegetables are juicing. This will take about 10 minutes.

Then add the cabbage, stir and stew for another 8-10 minutes.

In the boiling broth (adjust the amount of broth to your liking, I added more than a liter), throw the vegetables, bay leaf, tomatoes (they must be preliminarily peeled and chopped), oatmeal, salt and pepper.

Cook for about 30 minutes until the vegetables are cooked. Do not put the lid on.
