1. Butter ¼ cup
2. Brown sugar ⅓ cup
3. Milk 1 cup
4. Dates, pitted and chopped 12
5. Raisins ½ cup
6. Dried currants ¼ cup
7. Candied mixed fruit peel, chopped ¼ cup
8. Orange, zested 1
9. Baking soda 1 teaspoon
10. Self-rising flour 1 cup
11. Ground cinnamon 2 teaspoons
12. Salt 1 pinch

How to cook deliciously - Plum Pudding II

1 . Stage

Well grease a pudding mold.

2 . Stage

In a large saucepan combine butter, sugar, milk, dates, raisins, currants, mixed fruit peel and zest of the orange; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Sift in the flour, cinnamon and salt; mix gently until blended. Pour into prepared pudding mold.

3 . Stage

Cover with a double layer of greased wax paper and steam for 2 hours.
