Ingredients for - Southern Sweet Potato Pie

1. Sweet potatoes - 3 large
2. Butter, softened - ½ cup
3. Vanilla extract - 1 tablespoon
4. Sugar, or more to taste - 2 cups
5. Ground nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
6. Eggs, beaten - 4
7. Evaporated milk - ¾ cup
8. Unbaked pie shells - 2 (9 inch)

How to cook deliciously - Southern Sweet Potato Pie

1. Stage

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add sweet potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 30 minutes. Drain and cool; peel and mash.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine sweet potatoes, butter, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Whisk eggs and milk together in a small bowl; blend into sweet potato mixture. Pour filling into pie shells.
