Add the whey. If there is none, it can be replaced with sour cream or kefir. Add baking soda. Stir. The soda will be extinguished. Grate hard cheese on a grater. Take any cheese you like, as long as it is of high quality, as we will fry it.

Add the cheese to the batter and combine. The batter is ready. This batter is enough for 1 large tomato. I took a fleshy tomato, I did not remove the skin. You can remove the skin from a tomato if you want. I cut the tomato into wedges like this. Thickness of a slice ~ 1,5 cm. I had 6 tomato slices.
4 . Stage
Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it well. Dip tomato slices in batter (generously) and place in the pan. I used a pancake pan D-24 cm. I put 6 tomato slices all over it.

When the first side has seized and fried, turn it over, turn down the heat to MIN and cover with a lid.

Fry on low heat until tender. This is a quick 3 to 5 minutes. Place the tomatoes in the batter on a paper towel to remove the oil.
