1. Onions, sliced - 4
2. Small new potatoes - 1 pound
3. Baby carrots - 1 (16 ounce) package
4. Beef brisket - 7 pounds
5. Beef broth - 1 cup
6. Dry onion soup mix - 1 packet
7. Ketchup - 1 cup
8. Ginger ale - 10 fluid ounces

How to cook deliciously - Very Best Brisket

1. Stage

Layer the onions, potatoes, and carrots into the bottom of a large Dutch oven. Place the brisket on top of the vegetables.

2. Stage

Mix the beef broth, onion soup mix, ketchup, and ginger ale in a bowl, and pour it over the brisket and vegetables. Bring to a boil over high heat, cover, and reduce heat to a simmer.

Simmer the brisket until tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
