Ingredients for - Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

1. Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
2. Onion, quartered then halved - 1
3. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
4. Tomato sauce - 1 (29 ounce) can
5. Water - 5 ½ cups
6. Dried parsley - 1 tablespoon
7. Dried basil - 1 ½ teaspoons
8. Dried oregano - 1 ½ teaspoons
9. Salt - 1 teaspoon
10. Cannellini beans - 1 (15 ounce) can
11. Navy beans - 1 (15 ounce) can
12. Grated Parmesan cheese - ⅓ cup
13. Ditalini pasta - 1 pound

How to cook deliciously - Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

1. Stage

In a large pot over medium heat, cook onion in olive oil until translucent. Stir in garlic and cook until tender. Reduce heat, and stir in tomato sauce, water, parsley, basil, oregano, salt, cannelini beans, navy beans and Parmesan. Simmer 1 hour.

2. Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Stir into soup.
