1. 1 pound ground beef -
2. 1/2 medium onion, chopped -
3. 1/2 green pepper, diced -
4. 1-1/2 teaspoon salt, divided -
5. 1/2 teaspoon pepper -
6. 2 tablespoons butter -
7. 6 medium potatoes (about 2-1/4 pounds), peeled and finely shredded -
8. 3 large eggs, lightly beaten -
9. 1/3 cup whole milk -
10. 2 cups shredded cheddar or part-skim mozzarella cheese -

How to cook deliciously - Contest-Winning German Pizza

1. Stage

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the beef, onion, green pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Remove and keep warm.

2. Stage

Reduce heat to low; melt butter in pan. Spread potatoes over butter and sprinkle with remaining salt. Top with beef mixture. Combine eggs and milk; pour over all.

Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until set in the center. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook until melted. Cut into wedges.
