4. Celery, minced - 1 large stalk
5. Carrots, finely chopped - 2
6. Green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces - ¼ pound
7. Fresh mushrooms, coarsely chopped - 8 ounces
8. Potatoes, peeled and diced - 3
9. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
10. Tomato sauce - 1 (8 ounce) can
11. Bay leaf - 1
12. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
13. Dried thyme - ½ teaspoon
14. Dried marjoram - ¼ teaspoon
15. Fat-free chicken broth - 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
16. All-purpose flour - ½ cup
17. Beef consomme - 2 (10.5 ounce) cans

1. Stage

In a slow cooker, combine beef, onions, garlic, celery, carrots, green beans, mushrooms, and potatoes. Pour in tomatoes and tomato sauce. Season with bay leaf, pepper, thyme, and marjoram. Stir together chicken broth and flour. Pour chicken broth mixture and beef consomme into the slow cooker; stir well.

2. Stage

Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 10 hours. Remove bay leaf before serving.
