1. Dry fettuccini noodles 12 ounces
2. Fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces 8 ounces
3. Heavy cream 2 cups
4. Butter ½ cup
5. Grated Parmesan cheese ¾ cup
6. Garlic powder ¼ teaspoon
7. Ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon
8. Cayenne pepper 1 pinch
9. Cooked ham, diced ½ pound

1 . Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add fettuccini pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Stir asparagus into pot for last five minutes of cooking; drain.
