Ingredients for - Cuban Black Beans

1. Black beans, washed - 1 pound
2. Onion, chopped - 1
3. Red bell pepper, chopped - 1
4. Green bell pepper, chopped - 1
5. Bay leaves - 2
6. Paprika - 1 ½ teaspoons
7. Ground cumin - 1 ½ teaspoons
8. Dried oregano - 1 tablespoon
9. Minced hot green chile peppers - 2
10. Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
11. Balsamic Vinegar - ¼ cup
12. Salt to taste - ¼ cup
13. Ground black pepper to taste - ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Cuban Black Beans

1. Stage

In a large bowl, cover beans in water and soak overnight.

2. Stage

Rinse beans and transfer to a large stock pot. Add onion, red and green bell peppers, bay leaves, paprika, cumin, oregano, chile peppers, and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

3. Stage

Test beans for tenderness; when tender add garlic and balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
