Ingredients for - Cuban Black Beans

1. Black beans, washed 1 pound
2. Onion, chopped 1
3. Red bell pepper, chopped 1
4. Green bell pepper, chopped 1
5. Bay leaves 2
6. Paprika 1 ½ teaspoons
7. Ground cumin 1 ½ teaspoons
8. Dried oregano 1 tablespoon
9. Minced hot green chile peppers 2
10. Garlic, minced 3 cloves
11. Balsamic Vinegar ¼ cup
12. Salt to taste ¼ cup
13. Ground black pepper to taste ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Cuban Black Beans

1 . Stage

In a large bowl, cover beans in water and soak overnight.

2 . Stage

Rinse beans and transfer to a large stock pot. Add onion, red and green bell peppers, bay leaves, paprika, cumin, oregano, chile peppers, and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

3 . Stage

Test beans for tenderness; when tender add garlic and balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
