Ingredients for - Grandmother's Macaroni and Cheese

1. Elbow macaroni - 1 cup
2. Shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 ½ cups
3. Milk - ⅔ cup
4. Egg, beaten - 1
5. Prepared mustard (Optional) - 1 tablespoon
6. Hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®) - 1 dash
7. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 dash

How to cook deliciously - Grandmother's Macaroni and Cheese

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Stage

Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes; drain.

3. Stage

Stir macaroni, Cheddar cheese, milk, egg, mustard, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper together in a bowl; pour into a baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven until brown and thickened, about 45 minutes.
