1. Sauerkraut - 1 (20 ounce) can
2. Brown sugar - ¼ cup
3. Bratwurst sausages - 1 ½ pounds
4. Onion, sliced - 1 medium
5. Water, or as needed (Optional) - ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage

1. Stage

Mix sauerkraut and brown sugar together in a medium bowl.

2. Stage

Pour sauerkraut mixture into a slow cooker; arrange sausages and onion over top. Cook on High for 2 hours. Check for dryness, adding water as necessary.

3. Stage

Reduce the heat to Low and cook for 2 more hours.
