Ingredients for - Spicy Sauteed Okra and Tomatoes

1. Ground hot Italian sausage - 1 pound
2. Scallions, chopped - 1 bunch
3. Garlic, chopped - 3 cloves
4. Sliced okra - 2 (12 ounce) bags
5. Diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as RO*TEL®) - 2 (10 ounce) cans
6. Tomato sauce - 1 (8 ounce) can
7. Sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 (8 ounce) package
8. Salt - 1 pinch
9. Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
10. Water, or as needed (Optional) - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Spicy Sauteed Okra and Tomatoes

1. Stage

Combine sausage, scallions, and garlic in a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until sausage is browned and crumbly and garlic and scallions have browned a bit, about 10 minutes. Mix in okra, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce until well combined.

2. Stage

Reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Add mushrooms, salt, and pepper; simmer for another 20 to 25 minutes, adding water if mixture begins to dry out.
