1. Olive oil 2 tablespoons
2. White onion, chopped 1 large
3. Dry lentils ½ cup
4. Garlic, minced 2 cloves
5. Curry powder 3 tablespoons
6. Ground cumin 1 teaspoon
7. Cayenne pepper 1 pinch
8. Crushed tomatoes 1 (28 ounce) can
9. Garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed 1 (15 ounce) can
10. Kidney beans, drained and rinsed 1 (8 ounce) can
11. Raisins ½ cup
12. Salt and pepper to taste ½ cup

1 . Stage

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat, and cook the onion until tender. Mix in the lentils and garlic, and season with curry powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Stir in the tomatoes, garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and raisins. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low, and simmer at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
