1. Sliced peeled Granny Smith apples 4 cups
2. Water 1 tablespoon
3. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
4. White sugar 1 cup
5. All-purpose flour ¾ cup
6. Ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon
7. Ground nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
8. Salt ¼ teaspoon
9. Cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces ½ cup

1 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Pile sliced apples in an 8x10-inch casserole dish. Mix water and lemon juice together and sprinkle over apples.
