5. 1 package (10 ounces) hearts of romaine salad mix -
6. 1 cup (4 ounces) crumbled blue cheese -
7. 1 medium red apple, chopped -
8. 1 teaspoon grated lime zest -
9. Dressing: -
10. 1/2 cup olive oil -
11. 1-1/2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar -
12. 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic -
13. 1/2 teaspoon lime juice -
14. 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest -
15. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin -
16. 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander -
17. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper -

How to cook deliciously - Blue Cheese Tossed Salad

1. Stage

In a small skillet over medium heat, cook the almonds, salt and pepper in butter for 5-6 minutes or until toasted, stirring occasionally. Drain on paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine the romaine, blue cheese, apple, lime zest and almonds. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the dressing ingredients; shake well. Drizzle over salad and toss to coat.
