1. Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
2. Skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips - 1 ½ pounds
3. Chopped onion - ½ cup
4. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
5. Whole peeled tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
6. Tomato sauce - 1 (8 ounce) can
7. Green bell pepper strips - 1 cup
8. Salt - 2 teaspoons
9. Dried basil - ½ teaspoon
10. Cayenne pepper - ⅛ teaspoon
11. Uncooked instant rice - 1 ½ cups

How to cook deliciously - Chicken Cacciatore with Rice

1. Stage

Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Add chicken, onion, and garlic; cook until chicken is browned and onion and garlic are softened, 8 to 10 minutes.

Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, bell pepper, salt, basil, and cayenne pepper; bring to boil. Cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in rice, cover, and remove from the heat. Let stand until rice is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir before serving.
