2. Olive oil, or more to taste - 3 tablespoons
3. Minced garlic - 2 tablespoons
4. Sugar, or to taste - 1 teaspoon
5. Bay leaf - 1 large
6. Sazon seasoning - 1 (1.41 ounce) package
7. Garlic powder, or to taste - ¼ teaspoon
8. Onion powder to taste - ¼ teaspoon
9. Ground cumin, or to taste - ⅛ teaspoon
10. Dried oregano, or to taste - ⅛ teaspoon
11. Salt, or to taste - 2 pinches
12. Freshly ground black pepper, or to taste - 2 pinches
13. Onion, diced - 1 medium
14. Green bell pepper, diced - 1 medium

How to cook deliciously - Cuban Black Beans (Frijoles Negros)

1. Stage

Combine black beans in a large pot over medium heat. Add olive oil, garlic, sugar, bay leaf, sazon seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper; stir to combine. Stir in onion and bell pepper. Cover pot and simmer until flavors are well combined and onions and bell peppers are cooked thoroughly, 8 to 15 minutes.
