1. Water - ¼ cup
2. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
3. Fresh green beans - 1 pound
4. Garlic, thinly sliced - 4 cloves
5. Onion, chopped - 2 slices
6. Fresh mint leaves - 1 sprig
7. Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
8. Cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
9. Minced garlic - ½ tablespoon
10. Dried basil - ¼ teaspoon
11. Prepared mustard - ¼ teaspoon
12. Salt and pepper to taste - ¼ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Minty Green Bean Salad

1. Stage

In a medium saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil, and cook the green beans 10 minutes, or until tender but crisp; drain.

Transfer green beans to a medium bowl, and mix with garlic, onion, and mint.
