1. 1/2 cup sugar -

4. 1 large egg white -
5. 1 pound large pecan halves -

How to cook deliciously - Spiced Pecans

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 300°F. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt.

2. Stage

In a large bowl, lightly beat the egg white. Add the pecans, stirring until they're coated.

Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans, and mix together well.

4. Stage

Spread the pecans in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. Bake until the pecans are lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring once. Remove the nuts to waxed paper to cool. Editor's Tip: You can spread the pecans out to cool on parchment paper or silicone baking mats as an alternative to waxed paper. They will crisp up as they cool down to room temperature.
