1. White bread, cut into 1 inch cubes - 12 thick slices
2. Shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 cups
3. Chopped fresh mushrooms (Optional) - 1 ½ cups
4. Crumbled cooked bacon - ¼ cup
5. Eggs - 12
6. Half-and-half - 2 ½ cups
7. Dijon mustard - 1 teaspoon

1. Stage

Toss cubed bread, cheese, mushrooms, and bacon together; pour into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Whisk eggs, half-and-half, and mustard together until smooth; pour evenly over bread mixture. Cover the dish with plastic wrap; refrigerate overnight.
