1. Unsalted butter 2 tablespoons
2. Celery ribs, sliced 2
3. Onion, chopped 1 medium
4. Carrot, diced 1 large
5. All-purpose flour 2 teaspoons
6. Chopped cabbage 6 cups
7. Chicken broth 6 cups
8. Cubed fully cooked ham 1 pound
9. Red potatoes, chopped 1 pound
10. Dried parsley 1 teaspoon
11. Ground thyme ¼ teaspoon
12. Dried marjoram ¼ teaspoon
13. Ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon
14. Frozen peas ½ cup

How to cook deliciously - Hearty Cabbage and Ham Soup

1 . Stage

Melt butter in a large stockpot over medium-high heat. Add celery, onion, and carrot. Saute for 4 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute more.

2 . Stage

Add cabbage, broth, ham, potatoes, parsley, thyme, marjoram, and ground pepper. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, reduce heat, and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.
