1. Vegetable oil for frying
2. Egg, beaten 1
3. Milk ⅓ cup
4. Cod 4 (6 ounce) fillets
5. All-purpose flour for coating 2 tablespoons
6. Quick-cooking oats 2 cups
7. Salt and pepper to taste 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Oat Crusted Fish

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2 . Stage

Whisk together egg and milk in a bowl. Coat cod fillets with flour; shake off excess. Dip cod in egg mixture; allow excess to drip off. Coat cod with oats.

3 . Stage

Place fish one at a time in hot oil; fry for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn over, and fry 2 to 3 minutes more. Remove to paper towels. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
